You can reach our hotel in Valle di Casies/Gsiesertal, the La Casies Mountain Living Hotel in S. Maddalena/St. Magdalena, very conveniently by car, train or plane.

Travelling by car

Coming from the north, you travel on the A22 Brennero/Brenner motorway to Bressanone/Brixen, take the Bressanone/Val Pusteria/Brixen/Pustertal exit and continue on the Val Pusteria/Pustertal main road towards Brunico/Bruneck until you reach the roundabout near Monguelfo-Tesido/Welsberg-Taisten. Take the second exit (bypass road) and travel through Monguelfo/Welsberg. After approx. 900 m turn left into Valle di Casies/Gsiesertal (signposted) and drive to the parish church in S. Maddalena/St. Magdalena in Casies/Gsies. Straight after the parish church, turn right and you've reached our hotel in Valle di Casies/Gsiesertal.

Coming from the south, you travel to Modena and northwards on the A22 Brennero/Brenner motorway – via Verona, Trento/Trient and Bolzano/Bozen and take the Bressanone/Val Pusteria/Brixen/Pustertal exit. From here you can follow the route described above to get to our hotel in Valle di Casies/Gsiesertal.

Coming from the east, travel to Carinthia and via Spittal an der Drau to Lienz in East Tyrol and then continue to South Tyrol. On the Val Pusteria/Pustertal main road travel as far as Monguelfo-Tesido/Welsberg-Taisten, turn right before the village onto the bypass road (Monguelfo Est/Welsberg Ost) and travel to Monguelfo/Welsberg. After a good 2 km turn right into Valle di Casies/Gsiesertal (signposted) and travel as far as the parish church in S. Maddalena/St. Magdalena in Casies/Gsies. Straight after the parish church turn right and you've reached your holiday destination, our hotel in Valle di Casies/Gsiesertal.

Travelling by train

Coming from the north, take the train as far as Fortezza/Franzensfeste, change to the Val Pusteria/Pustertal regional train and travel as far as Monguelfo/Welsberg. We will be happy to pick you up from there, on request.

Coming from the south, travel via Verona, Trento/Trient and Bolzano/Bozen, then continue towards Brennero/Brenner and change to a Val Pusteria/Pustertal regional train in Fortezza/Franzensfeste. Travel as far as Monguelfo/Welsberg and be picked up by us at the train station there (on request).

Coming from the east, travel via Villach in Carinthia and via Spittal an der Drau/Millstätter See to Lienz in East Tyrol and change there to a regional train to Fortezza/Franzensfeste. Get off in Monguelfo/Welsberg and we will take you to our hotel in Valle di Casies/Gsiesertal (pick-up service on request).

Travelling by plane

The nearest airports are those in Bolzano/Bozen (111 km), Innsbruck (137 km) and Verona (254 km). On request, we will be happy to pick you up from one of these airports and take you back for your departure.
